For Black Friday we got people hyped for the biggest price beatdown of the year. Inspired by wrestling and boxing bouts, we created a campaign that got people hyped on a main event where $1.99 was the star.

Our creative team partners closely with the Hulu Events team from early concept through execution, translating campaign ideas into cohesive event environments that span digital, physical, and experiential touchpoints.
By weaving campaign creative, visual systems, and storytelling into live moments, we ensure every event feels intentional, on-brand, and deeply connected to the broader marketing ecosystem. Below are a few examples that highlight this collaboration and the resulting brand experiences.








Partnering with experiential agency 2Heads, we brought Hulu to life at the D23 Expo by translating in-market campaign creative and evergreen brand design cues into a bold, immersive experience. I led creative direction across a 12,000-square-foot footprint, weaving campaign storytelling, environmental design, and interactive moments into a cohesive brand presence designed to engage more than 100,000 in-person attendees

To drive buzz around Hulu Animayhem at Anime Expo, we partnered with Campfire to create an immersive experience that transported fans into a modern metropolis inspired by their favorite anime series. The activation generated over 533 million media impressions with an additional 750K social impressions, amplified by influencer attendees reaching more than 16 million followers on TikTok and 6.9 million on Instagram. More than 6,000 Hulu Animayhem backpacks sparked an organic four-day expo takeover, with fans wearing them throughout the event.

To amplify the activation, the Hulu design team created digital OOH placements near the event that highlighted the depth of Hulu’s anime library and drove broader awareness.

ST PATRICK’S DAY BOAT STUNT
	We wanted to celebrate Hulu’s 15th anniversary with our fans, the internal team, our partners, and talent.  




	Since the anniversary happened on St. Patrick’s day, we decided to take advantage and pretend as if we thought all the green out in the world was to help us celebrate the occasion. I worked with our internal design and animation teams to define the look and create all graphics for this campaign which received 27M+ total impressions and won silver at the Clio Awards.

Role: Creative Direction, Art Direction

	Hulu loves Halloween so much they put their name into it. Huluween is the annual Promax-winning tentpole brand campaign that expresses Hulu’s love for all things spooky.&#38;nbsp;


	I work with our design and motion graphics teams along with external agencies and illustrators to bring this campaign to life each fall. Success is measured in user engagement and for 2020, that was +33% YOY. Below is a small sampling of creative from the past 2 campaigns.

	Culture Campaigns

Role: Art Direction


	Hulu engages with customers by staying relevant in the current cultural climate. The Culture Lab team aims to find moments that make sense for the brand to engage in.&#38;nbsp;


	My team and I work with Culture Lab to give these campaigns distinct visual identities. These are a great exercise in pushing the boundaries of our brand identity while keeping some core elements constant. 




	For Black History Month, the campaign line was “Your Attention Please”. It was our mantra, a movement that anyone can get behind. And it’s how Hulu helps make a difference – by focusing on moving forward and telling stories that are long overdue to be told.We highlighted Black artists, talent, and voices on our platform and in out-of-home marketing. We put on a concert at Madison Square Garden Theater which also streamed live on YouTube. And we had a charitable donation campaign that allowed folks to choose which nonprofits Hulu should donate to.

	For LatinX Hispanic Heritage Month, the campaign line was “Acentos Bienvenidos”. This campaign embraced the full richness of every individual, from the stories we told about an LGBTQ+ mariachi band to the conversations we had with the talent from our Hulu Originals.To create the graphics package, we partnered with an artist from the community: Victoria Villasana. We worked with her to create a toolkit of elements that we used to create our suite of marketing materials as seen below.

	Sports on Hulu

Role: Art Direction, Design

	In 2017, Hulu added live TV. The biggest opportunity that came along with this was live sports. 
I was chosen to be the design lead for sports on Hulu and quickly learned that we didn’t have rights to use many of the team logos, team names or photos of athletes. &#38;nbsp;
	So, my first order of business was art directing a sports photo shoot. I lead the concepting, casting, art directing, and retouching.
Cut to four years later and the footage captured as part of this shoot is still being used to promote sports on Hulu.
